VACANCY FOR A BARHAM PARISH COUNCILLOR

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED BECOMING A PARISH COUNCILLOR?

Barham Parish Council has a vacancy for one new member.

Would you like to help make a difference to your village? Do you care about where you live, its facilities, activities, open spaces?  Whatever needs tackling or improving locally, becoming a Parish Councillor gives people the opportunity to change things.
YOU can help to make a difference to the quality of life for people in Barham.

If you are, age 18 or over, you are an elector of the parish, during the whole of the last 12 months have occupied as owner or tenant, land or other premises in the parish.

The Parish Council meetings are usually held every other month on a Monday evening at 7pm in Barham Church Hall.

The best way to find out what it’s like to be a Parish Councillor is to talk to someone who’s doing it now, come along to a Parish Council meeting or speak to our Parish Clerk (see contact details below)

Speeding Enforcement

The Suffolk County Council Liberal Democrat, Green and Independent Group is to introduce to Council  a motion proposing a default 20mph speed limit for roads in residential areas and communities across Suffolk’s towns and villages, with 30mph limits to be retained only in exceptional circumstances. River Gipping Trust, New Bridge & Footpath

Barham Parish Council are delighted to support the River Gipping Trust (RGT).  The RGT is in the process of restoring part of the footpath upstream of Baylham Mill to its original position along the river’s towpath. This includes the re-establishment of a footbridge not used for around 70 years. The primary objective is to improve the walking experience of those that use the Gipping Way.
