VACANCY FOR A BARHAM PARISH COUNCILLOR

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED BECOMING A PARISH COUNCILLOR?

Barham Parish Council has a vacancy for one new member.

Would you like to help make a difference to your village? Do you care about where you live, its facilities, activities, open spaces?  Whatever needs tackling or improving locally, becoming a Parish Councillor gives people the opportunity to change things.
YOU can help to make a difference to the quality of life for people in Barham.

If you are, age 18 or over, you are an elector of the parish, during the whole of the last 12 months have occupied as owner or tenant, land or other premises in the parish.

The Parish Council meetings are usually held every other month on a Monday evening at 7pm in Barham Church Hall.

The best way to find out what it’s like to be a Parish Councillor is to talk to someone who’s doing it now, come along to a Parish Council meeting or speak to our Parish Clerk (see contact details below)

DK9 dealt with the following;

Suspicious activity at the Picnic Site.
Flytipping.
Disturbed and moved on suspicious males in Phillips Road.
Found a push bike left in Sandy Lane.
Dog left in a parked car.
Suspicious person who had caused concern all week was reported
to the police who attended to view evidence on CCTV.

Barham Community Speed Watch Initiative

19 April 2021

At the recent Barham Parish Council meeting the major issue of speeding vehicles throughout the whole of Barham was again discussed.  The Parish Council has a constant battle with SCC Highways department to get anything done regarding reducing the speeding issues and pretty much have to take things into its own hands.  It has therefore been agreed to proceed with  “Community Speed Watch Initiative” for the village.
